Frequently asked questions
What is the LinkedIn character limit for a post?
A LinkedIn post (feed update) allows up to 3,000 characters. Only about the first 210 characters show on desktop before the “…see more” link, so put your hook first.
How many characters is the LinkedIn headline?
Your profile headline allows up to 220 characters. The About / summary section allows up to 2,600 characters.
What is the limit for a connection request note?
A note attached to a connection request is limited to 300 characters. Comments allow up to 1,250 characters.
Does the counter count emojis and spaces?
Yes. Spaces, line breaks and emojis all count toward the limit. AccentKit counts by Unicode code points so multi-byte emoji are measured correctly.
Is my text uploaded anywhere?
No. The counter runs entirely in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server.
